June 6 - Old Ben Walk

Bum in, stomach in, work those abs and feel the burn! Commuters on their way to London Bridge were treated to an impromptu workout earlier this month as the Newtrade 80s brigade hit the streets for the annual Old Ben Walk. Clad head to toe in lycra, leg warmers and sweatbands, the Newtrade troop raised over £140 for the Old Benevolent Fund, before making a few extra contributions at the bar when the event finished with a funfair-themed party in London Bridge.

July 18 - NFRN London district annual cricket match

After the disappointment of last years washout, Newtrade cricket club will once again be competing in the annual NFRN London cricket match in July. This year we will be heading south to the Woodmansterne ground in Banstead, Surrey (a short train ride from London Bridge) and it is promising to be a fun day for all - cricketers and non-cricketers alike. Again captained by Sam Walton, the familiar opening pair of Nick Shanagher and James Bielby will this year be broken up to accomodate a cricketing legend from the convenience industry.
