NFRN London District Cricket Tournament - 12 June 10

Held at Osterley Cricket Club, this year’s tournament bore witness to a spirited display from the Newtrade Publishing team. Despite fielding arguably its strongest side ever, Team Newtrade could not prevent three consecutive losses to Cadbury, BAT and the NFRN.

However, the side could take heart from some impressive batting figures, including a solid 97 run total against the Cadbury XI.This was backed by superb bowling performances from Stefan Appleby, who took four wickets for 54 runs over the course of the day.

Mayson Day and Mike Baillie also impressed wiht some fine shortmaking at the crease, but the highlight of the day belonged to Nick Shanagher, who made a spectacular split-second catch to set up an exciting finish in the Cadbury game.
